We work hard to ensure that our fleet is maintained so that we can provide everyone with information and entertainment on operable museum pieces.  They are serviced, washed, and operated/"exercised" in order to keep vital parts running such as heating, engine coolant, transmissions, and interior lighting.  We warm up and run the buses while we fuel the vehicles in order to prevent "gelling" in the winter months and fuel-related issues in the spring and summer months.  We occasionally touch up buses, when necessary, to remedy issues with discoloring in summer months and excess dirt and snow accumulation in the winter months.  We even attempt slight modifications to "update" some models to provide enthusiasts with "what-if" scenarios without compromising the historic value of the buses.

With all of that said, all of this hard work comes at a price -- time and funding, sweat and tears, planning and organization.  Much of that comes from members of this organization, often taking time out of their busy schedules to provide what amounts to countless hours of entertainment and education.  We often spend hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars out-of-pocket to make it all happen.

For those who have participated in our numerous gatherings and events over the years involving our vintage bus fleet, we cannot thank you enough for your support.  For those who have followed us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/classicbusowners) and invited friends to our events, we do appreciate your support and your efforts.  We do plan some paid gatherings, though we do stress that any funds we collect are considered donations and are strictly utilized towards fueling and general upkeep of our fleet.

Many of our events are held within the Greater New York Area and often involve day trips to nearby cities, multiple-day trips to other locales, and even "Open Houses" that involve showing off all or most of our collection.  For those who are too far from us, cannot make it to any of our events, or want to help support our many mini-projects, you may wish to provide a donation below to contribute towards a project or a general upkeep fund.  Any help or support is greatly appreciated.
